LIC plans for senior citizens
Entry age limits are the binding constraint here, and they vary a great deal between plans. Some LIC plans close at 45, others accept entry up to 65.
This page shows what is genuinely still open based on LIC’s published entry ages, rather than listing plans you would be declined for.
What the age limits actually are
Across LIC’s current range, maximum entry ages run from about 45 up to 65 depending on the plan, and some plans additionally consider proposals above 60 case by case under LIC’s underwriting policy.
The recommendation tool on this site filters on those published limits, so it will tell you plainly if you are outside the range for a category rather than showing something you cannot actually buy.
If nothing fits
LIC does not currently have an active dedicated annuity or pension plan in this dataset, so anyone searching for a pension product specifically should know that up front rather than be pointed at a savings plan dressed up as one.
Where a whole-life plan structured to pay regular income is a reasonable adjacent option, this site says so and explains how it differs from an annuity. Where nothing is close, it says that too.

Common questions
Can I buy an LIC policy after 60?
Some plans accept entry up to 65, and certain plans consider proposals above 60 case by case under LIC’s underwriting policy. Many plans close earlier, at 45 or 50. It depends entirely on the plan.
Is a medical test required at older ages?
It becomes more likely with age and with larger sums assured, though it is LIC’s underwriting that decides.
What about cover for a parent who is already over 65?
Above the maximum entry age of every active plan, new life cover is generally not available. It is better to be told that directly than to be led through an application that will be declined.
Not sure which of these applies to you?
Five questions, no account needed, and it will tell you honestly if nothing fits rather than pushing the closest match.
